Invest Japan Symposium

General Manager, Mr. Veerapong Arpapipattanapong, as one of the representatives of Thai leading companies under the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), attended the Invest Japan Symposium jointly held by several organizations including Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) under Thai Ministry of Commerce, the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce (JCC), the Board of Investment (BOI), the Japan External Trade Organization (Jetro) and the Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking (JSCCIB).

In this event, the deputy prime minister in charge of economic affairs M.R. Pridiyathorn Devakula gave an opening remarks and special lecture. This symposium is aimed to promote more effectiveness in mutual cooperation between Thailand and Japan by introducing new investment opportunities in various industries, for example, renewable energy, packaging and research and development (R&D) in various industries.

Moreover, the participants gained great opportunities to receive abundant information from Tokyo’s local organizations, Chiba prefecture, Kanagawa prefecture, Aichi prefecture, and Fukuoka prefecture as well as create network with leading Japanese entrepreneurs in Thailand.

Meanwhile, the symposium was held at the Napalai Room, Dusit Thani Bangkok Hotel on May 27, 2015 between 1:30 pm and 6:00 pm.
